You Can Do Both: Writing Fiction and Nonfiction

Loading Events

Get out of your comfort zone and acquire tools for telling powerful stories across multiple genres. Over the course of this workshop, participants will be expected to write two short pieces: one fiction and one nonfiction. Each week, we will discuss an assigned story or essay followed by two or three participant pieces (to be read and commented on advance). You’ll go home with new insights and tactics to use when crafting your work for this class and long after. Before the first class, the instructor will send out a story or two for participants to prepare to discuss. Bring your enthusiasm and creativity—we might be freewriting!
