This workshop will be held on the online video conferencing platform, Zoom. The dates and times will remain the same. You can view brief tutorials on using the platform here.

Join us for a poetry lunch break to read and discuss a couple of uplifting poems from our U.S. Poet Laureate, Joy Harjo. Then, using the poems or a prompt from the instructor, we’ll write for 15-20 minutes. We’ll end the class by sharing some of our work with each other.

About Melanie Figg

Melanie Figg is the author of the award-winning poetry collection, Trace, and the recipient of a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. As a certified professional coach, she has helped hundreds of writers to publish, tame their inner critics, and add more creativity, balance, and intentionality to their lives.
