Have you considered self-publishing but don’t know where to begin? In this two-week course you will learn the basics of self-publishing from start to finish. Week one will focus on the three paths to publishing, the basics of print on demand, and the hybrid publishing alternative. During week two you will learn funding options, book launch strategies, post-launch strategies, and setting sales goals. By the end of the workshop you will have the knowledge and tools necessary to bring your book to life!

LIVE VIDEO CONFERENCE: This workshop will be held via our online video conferencing platform, Zoom. The dates and times will remain the same. You can view brief tutorials on using the platform here. About Ariel Mendez

Ariel Mendez is an author/illustrator with a background in public policy and international studies. Her debut picture book, Fear and a Friend, was launched on Kickstarter and selected as a Kickstarter “Project We Love.” Upcoming titles include Hair Like Me (Heather Burris/Ariel Mendez) and Dear God (Reina Dovelier/Ariel Mendez). Ariel is a member of the Society of Childrens Book Writers and Illustrators, where she has presented on self-publishing and book marketing. More about her at: arielmendez.com.
