Advanced Short Story

In this workshop, you will read and discuss several short stories by writers who are masters of the form, and then discuss the work you submit to the class. This should be an exciting, energetic class that will offer more insight into the possibilities of story telling and the way craft supports our vision as writers. You will receive reading and writing assignments a week before the first class.

About Alyce Miller

Alyce Miller is the award-winning author of four books of fiction and one book of nonfiction, as well as more than 250 essays, short stories, poems, articles, and book reviews. She is Professor Emerita from the English Department and Graduate Program in Creative Writing at Indiana University-Bloomington, where she also received awards for her teaching. More about her at:
