Everyone has a right to their own opinion. In this class, you will learn how to shape your opinions into craftily worded ideas worth reading about. Are you passionate about politics, pop culture, or the latest developments in science and technology? Do you have a rare perspective on important topics often explored in the media? In this class, you will learn how to shape your views into craftily worded arguments worth reading and talking about. These fun, interactive sessions will serve as a crash course in opinion writing. Participants will leave knowing how to format an op-ed or opinion essay, where to pitch, the difference between hot and warm takes, newsjacking and other successful techniques that make editors take notice.
