How to Write an Autobiographical Narrative

Sat, 10 Jun, 2017 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Think you haven't had a very eventful life? Think nobody would be interested in stories of your past? Think again. You can compose a riveting story about an incident that changed your life, either obviously or subtly. In this one-day workshop, participants will write the beginnings of several autobiographical stories (either as nonfiction or fiction), then pick one to develop. Participants will leave the workshop with a draft of a new essay, memoir chapter, story, or novel, along with the initial framework of two more, and a better understanding of how stories (and character development, and setting) work. (This is an all-day workshop with a lunch break.)
