Andrew Gifford and Cathy Cruise

Sun, 4 Jun, 2017 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Andrew Gifford reads from We All Scream: The Fall of the Giffords Ice Cream Empire, his recent memoir about the fate of the iconic family-owned Washington area ice cream stores. Giffords shares the inside “scoop” on the Byzantine plot twists in this bittersweet tale. He has since moved on to become an indie book publisher, founding the Santa Fe Writing Project.

Novelist Cathy Cruise adds fictional family drama to the afternoon as she reads from her debut, A Hundred Weddings. Her protagonist's love life has fallen apart just as her sister's big wedding is approaching. Add other varied crises, and their mother, who asks her to write a blog about the "hundred weddings" they have planned.
